santa fe
is a place
where you can find
all sorts of things
to dazzle your eye
keep you busy
as u need to be
but for me
when eye need inspiration
with perspiration
eye walk
the arroyo
or
go up the mountain
where eye can hear
the whispers
if eye am very
quiet
this land
whispers to me
not with words
but flashes
of
color, smell or grit
a friend tales me
when you walk up the moutain
eat a bit of it
so as to bring down
the wisdom
of the mountain
because as you walk
to the top
of the mountain
sometimes the biggest part of you
becomes apparent
if you listen
very closely
and sometimes
the smallest part of you
becomes
crystal clear
as well
but
either way
the main thing
is to walk softly
listen to the wind in the leaves and branches
and find
what you can
about yourself
as with the
water under the snow
there is soul
just
beneath your skin
