Her students investigate parallels between architecture and quilting as an introduction to ideas about composition, ordering systems, color and pattern.
Claire Fenton
I am endlessly intriqued with the dichotomies of life — the juxtaposition of chaos and order, solitude and society, gain and loss. I explore these concepts in my work by contrasting materials and forms, as well as the interplay of positive and negative space. Though much of the imagery and inspiration is the same, it is gratifying to explore these same images in 3-d - a challenge I plan to continue for quite some time to come.
