its prolly fate

for a guy who found a home

at a flea market on the tesuque reservation

that my other studio would be

at the end of an alley

on canyon road

my space on canyon road

feels like a dark green garden

compared to the bright orange desert

i work in at the flea market ...

during the day

my studio

seems to be surrounded

by crows & magpies

with rabbits hiding along the fence line

and at nite i often hear

coyotes howling nearby

on the street

behind my studio

is the acequia madre

built by the spaniards

many centurys ago

to channel water down the mountain

for the small village

around canyon road

my studio on canyon

has alot of the same feel

my shed at the flea does

from things i have collected in my travels

as well as things

from my familys shed in arkansas
